The site, which is located in the centre of Lusk, is zoned commercial
to the front half and residential to the rear half. The frontage
to Station Road is short, and the planners required a link to future
development to the rear of the site.
In order to develop the site it was necessary to provide a new
road along one side of the site, to facilitate the commercial part
and provide access to the residential part with a pedestrian link
to future development. The commercial section includes a supermarket,
medical centre, restaurant, retail units and office space. Two storey
residential units are also located above the supermarket. Carparking
has been located in three separate courts, concealed to allow the
development of a streetscape to the new road.
